Constant calls (& no message) from some Unknown Caller. It irritates me when callers don't show proper ID. Who wants to talk to an "Unknown Caller"?
Packaging IS a pain! It can be too hard to open things sometimes, and it makes me not want to buy that brand again! I only get Swanson broth now since I can use a can opener on it. Other brands have those tabs you have to pop to open the can, and for me it sometimes breaks off. I've cut myself on them at times!
Go online, online, online, online, online, online, online, for EVERYTHING now! You can't get a live person or even a phone number now. Ads tell you "visit us online" or "find out more about this event online." Even in this day & age, everyone does
NOT have constant, fast access to the Internet! And even if you do, sometimes the page is slow to load, it has errors, the site is not user-friendly, etc. No personal contact anymore, just go "online".
And they want you to e-mail, e-mail, e-mail, e-mail, e-mail, e-mail. When did phones become obsolete? They obviously are not, as everyone is either walking around (or driving around) with a phone glued to their ear. Yet businesses & people want you to e-mail. Same issues: E-mail may not be working right, maybe someone doesn't check their mail that often, etc.
My trusted landline phone always works, and it is always available. Not slow to load, connects quickly, etc. But no, they want e-mail and online these days.
As far as that "How are you?" crap, I've actually said, "Terrible" to people. They are shocked and even somewhat annoyed that I would be honest and not give the expected,
trite (& fake)response, "Fine!" What BS!
Voice Commands taking over touch-tone menus when you call a business. I get what I need faster by pressing keys rather than trying to tell a stupid computer (they are often stupid) what I'm calling about. AT&T has this now. If it doesn't understand you after 3 or 4 tries, it will THEN connect you to a live person. Or if you don't say anything. I know people sometimes don't "get it" either, but trying to program a machine to mimic a human brain is no easy task. And AT&T's website sucks!!!!
I don't like being followed around by some salesperson when I go into a store either. And no, I don't want to shop online. I wouldn't have the salesperson swooping in on me like a vulture, but I like to HANDLE the merchandise I want to buy. I need to see it, hold it, inspect it.
A salesperson once said she'd leave me be after I told her I'm looking and will get her if I need her. FIVE minutes later, she approaches again, to show me something. I said, "I thought you were going to leave me in peace." She slithered away.
