Well, I almost re-installed Norton!! McAfee has slowed my system down to near shut down. It detects something every 20 minutes or so and it takes about 4 tries to get it any website. Pages are pesistantly unable to display, particularly if it is bookmarked.

So - out with the McAfee and in with AVG.

Rainbowzz - I ran FreeRam XP. I am not sure what the final result was. It ran for more than 15 hours though.

Sky - thanks for the tips. I defrag and system clean up so regularly I really should not be experiencing operating problems like this.

Anyway - I shall endure..
