I stopped both Abilify 10mg and Escitalopram 10mg cold turkey at the same time and it wasn't too bad. Obviously I wouldn't recommend just stopping your meds, especially without pdoc approval, but I did it and it was bearable. Nowhere near as bad as some of the other stuff I've come off of over the years! I just felt 'not right' but it was very non-specific and definitely nothing that interfered with day-to-day activities or anything.

I was told by my pdoc that once you get TD symptoms, after stopping the med altogether, you have to wait 6-12 months before the TD will get better, if it ever gets better. For some people it doesn't.
