Suicide is a leading cause of death among teens. No, it's not a joke. I've reconnected with five people I went to school with in my early teens, all women, and after a couple years of visiting we've gotten down to some serious stuff, e.g., all of us attempted, or were stopped in an attempt, to kill ourselves.

Each of us had thought for sure we were the only ones in our class.

It would be great if every school had a Depression Forum of some sort, a self-support or guided support group. But of course even kids who ached to go would probably make fun of the ones who did.
