When I was diagnosed, I went through a 2 day testing, plus a person close to me was interviewed. They didn't take diagnosing lightly. The 2 psychiatrists I had since DISAGREE with the diagnosis, BTW.... And they think they can know after seeing me once a year for an hour. I really don't think a doc can diagnose you unless you are a clear cut case, from just seeing you.
For me a diagnosis has made a BIG difference, because it has given me a legal right to different kinds of support that I really needed. Now all countries don't have that I know (I'm not in USA).
BTW, I also have empathy, but I still have Asperger's. And just your Sonic piccie gave you away..!! OK not seriously, but almost.
