When I was manic, I posted almost constantly, and probably lost some friends and annoyed and weirded out a lot of people. Your cousin most likely was put off and didn't know what else she could do; however, she simply could have blocked your updates while still remaining your friend. It's an option under the x on a certain comment. Perhaps if you tell her this, she will re-friend you but still maintain control over what her kids can see. And I agree, kids that young shouldn't be on Facebook. But a little understanding can go a long way.
