Race is the wrong term; we are all part of the human race but come from different ethnic backgrounds.

I would love to be darker, like my fiancee; she's the color of dark chocolate and just as tasty. Especially as the world heats up, darker-skinned people will fare better so there is a practical concern as well. It's funny, in the Philippines now, whitening agents are all the rage, go figure.

To fully answer your question, I do think I have a bit of the white man's guilt but its not a feeling of inferiority.
