Driving in fog is so unreal, though. Other cars are going practically normal highway speeds, so you're thinking, well, should I really be going only 15 mph? But you can't SEE freakin' ANYTHING, and you're scared hitless because you're driving along and then all of a sudden there IS another car, totally out of nowhere, and that's when you realize AGAIN how much you totally cannot see, and high beams only make it worse, or do they? And you're just trying to concentrate on following the edge of the road... It's one of the most taxing driving situations, no matter what your original state of mind is? But yeah, I think the way it puts you into a hyper aware state, there is no sound, and in a way you have no sight - there is no movement, unlike a blowing snowstorm or rainstorm, it's like you're just suspended in space somehow. But you have to super concentrate!
