>>I am now mourning the demise of yet another favorite show, Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Oh jeez no one I know would mock you... that show was AWESOME.

I was absolutely in love with all the robots, but even so a lot of the humor was very intelligent, with references to escher, classical music, old elizabeth taylor movies... just lots of fun stuff always sure that something somewhere would really get you right in your funny bone. I really miss crow, he was so cute. and joel too.

which brings to mind another old favorite movie that I had forgotten about, one that they spoofed on mst3k. Anyone remember Santa Claus Conquers the Martians? I saw that movie when i was young and i always loved it. i've spent my life singing the theme song at the drop of a hat. i had so much fun when they took it on mst3k and i have both versions on tape (the real movie and the one with the "commentary")

That was such an awful but fun, campy movie, and i remember that it actually made a lot of money, because it was made on a really low budget i think on long island, plus the theme song became a hit and sold records, so it ended up making a profit. Does everyone remember the theme song? Does anyone remember who sang the theme song?

oh what great memories.
