You are definately in my prayers.
I am a surgical assistant and think that it is awful, what the anesthesia provider did! They do need access to place their EKG leads but usually are very careful about keeping peoples modesty secure.
I would like to suggest that you mention your experience to the anesthesia probider on monday when they talk to you. Let them know you have had a bad experience and they will certainly understand and try and make you more comfortable. After doing this job for 22 years, it has been my experience that most patients don't communicate their concerns to their caretakers because of fear - and that is soooooo understandable. So, please, make sure and mention your experience and anxiety about this issue to them on Monday.
Good luck,
Songbird
