Have they tried Depakote yet? I know Lithium failed miserably for you, but Depakote is another tried-n-true BP med, just like Lithium.

I didn't read the whole thread, just your initial post (I'm headed out the door w/my BF to a Pistons after party) so I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this.

Sorry I'm not around that much! I will be checking in at PC on my lunches to see how you are doing though!
