Thanks for asking, LbF. Suicidal posts of the "I'm going to" kind are against guidelines in all forums.

We do allow "I want to" posts. We expect them to get more and better replies in the Depression forum so sometimes we'll even move them there from other forums. The "No suicidal posts please" message at the top of Depression forum pages applies to "I'm going to" posts.

Sabby spelled out the difference between the two kinds of posts here: Rules and Administration > RE: suicidal posts.
