My personal experience is as follows:
I felt horrible when I switched therapists. But am ok with it now, I really like my new t.....
I really hope not to make the same mistake with my new t.... With my old t I had a horrible case with "transference" ....and can almost garuntee that will not happen with my new t ( as she is a much older female ) ......
As far as thinking about my ex t I must confess I still think of him often.....There really isnt a day that goes by that he doesn't cross my mind ( but I did the best thing for me when I ended that therapist/patient relationship ) ..... I can say that even though I still think of him often, it really is getting better day by day...
