If you are going to go back on a benzo for withdrawal symptoms, then of the two, I would pick klonopin. There is less rebound anxiety from this med than xanax. It doesn't work as quickly, but it isn't cleared as quickly either.

I don't know the story but it's usually not a good idea to just stop the benzos cold turkey. Aren't you just freaking out?
