Snow squall watch for
Corner Brook and vicinity continued

Snow squalls giving amounts of 10 cm or more are expected to begin this morning.

A low pressure system near Anticosti Island will track into Southern Labrador today. Winds have begun to switch over to southwesterlies as a cold front associated with the low is currently tracking across Newfoundland. Cold Arctic air behind the front will produce ideal conditions for a widespread area of snow squalls for the west and southwest coastal regions. These squalls could locally produce significant snowfall amounts as well as poor visibility in blowing snow.
