Bless your heart -- I'm sorry you've had such problems!! I can't imagine having a rod the length of my spine!
I've had several spine surgeries myself, and am now disabled due to them. Chronic pain is exhausting! I've dealt with this for more than 25 years now, and it's gotten pretty tiresome! LOL
