Hello everyone,

In my 19 short years on this earth, my experience has been that all New Year's resolutions have been set with the best of intentions...and then I never follow through with them. I don't like the idea of using January 1st as a possible excuse to not try to reach goals until that date, because there is somehow something magical about the first day of the year. I am not trying to bash anyone who does use January 1st as a starting point - setting goals and working towards them is great!

But in the past, I'd treat the New Year like something magical: "This year will be different, it's a new year, a new start!" Now I don't see anything special about January 1st, really. It's just another day. If a goal comes to mind, then I start on that same day. No waiting until the next year for me.

Can anyone else relate?
