You have guts, and you are a great person for being honest and coming clean even though it's not the easiest thing to do.
We all make mistakes. But owning up to those mistakes can be the biggest challenge of it all.
I will keep you in my thoughts, and hope things went well, and that he was understanding, and didn't over react (i dont know how those sort of things normally go, but i would assume it would hurt him... but he would be glad later on that you didn't hold it from him and then you wont feel bad for holding it in for who knows how long.)
