I really really don't think that therapy is something that one can fail.
We all have behaviours that can sabotage our progress, but those can be overcome with a measured amount of introspection and rational evaluation of our own thoughts.
Therapy can require a complete overhaul of a significant number of things that we think we know to be absolute truth.
On occasion, the most powerful thing about therapy is the simple question "what if I..."
At least that one question snowballed into a lot of good things for me.
Therapy can create a space where it is safe to ask it.
