Thanks for your post. It makes a lot of sense.
Everything in life is give and take, and that means that we acquire wisdom and experience with our advancing years, but we have to grow older to do it.
I hope the next years of my life are better than the past years... not to say there weren't some good times though.

When I was a kid, I heard the term "mid-life crisis" and thought that seemed ages away...

Now it's here.
