KNOW that no matter what happens >to< you, it is not about your experiences of
what happened to you, but how you responded inside (mostly) and outside.

For decades I felt like a failure, until I got help and reviewed all my bad decisions
to not stand up in the face of insult and abuse; then with review I
realized that I had chosen silence because it was in my view at the time
the safety for me physically and emotionally. In retrospect it was the
best choice for me as well.
My error was only in continued loyalty and honesty to those who would use my
nobility against me.
I feel, for me , that I need to choose my fights between those that
I can't come back from, and those I can, it is not all about winning, it seldom
is. for me.
