I think it all depends on what you're body is used to being around. Different cultures globally have different outtakes on the weather. When people make those comments, they aren't trying to deny that it's not colder in other regions or calling them out. It's cold for them in their particular place. It's like what upsets one person may not upset another, but that doesn't mean it's not any less real. Just my view.
