There is no problem with any outside search engines viewing this site. If you google your PC screen name, it will not come up from posting or from being a member. (If you blog or have contributed to a newsletter, it might. But only what you said in blog or newsletter is available, not anything in forum.)

Also, if you use or note your screenname from here and post it on a searchable site, like MYSPACE, then you have allowed those search engines view it from THAT site, not here.)

I'm so sorry that you new members have come just at this time. This isn't a common occurrence, this violation of privacy. It happened. I'm sure DocJohn will give us more information as to what happened, how it happened, why or who and what to do to help keep it from happening again, and all that..... in HIS CHAT TONIGHT at 9 pm in the Psych Central Chat room. Might as well try to go into the chat room now, so you're sure to be there on time! If you have trouble, PM any member whose name is in GREEN. They are moderators and can help you.

To add a note of security, only members who have signed in may go into chat. If you are not in chat, you can not see what is being said. Also, only if you are a signed-in member can you even click on the number to see WHO is in chat. Those who are not members cannot see any of that. DocJohn did that to help keeps us safe.
