What a good place to be: at the end of yourself. That brings back such good memories for me when I was suicidal but while on my knees begging God for help, I got an answer I didn't expect. Give up on the old, and bring in the new.

Yes, give up what doesn't serve you well. Instead of tying a knot and hanging on, grease that sucker and slip off. Come to the end of yourself as you've been trained to be, and find your autonomy--your voice of authentic self. This is what processing your journey really means and it can be a HOOT if you begin where you are and listen to the self still in you that has been gathering dust in the corner. Blow the dust off and meet that person. "She" ALWAYS awaits.

The following statement can be read every day of your life and still be able to teach:

"Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand." Karl Menninger (psychiatrist)

To begin the process, listen to YOU. When you are able to hear YOU, you will "unfold" and be able to present your authentic self to others. Two sincere hearts coming together have ears that can hear.

We are ALL hearing impaired to some degree. If you journey through life with "heart-ears," you will be guided to many and exciting "bread crumbs" on the path way to healing. Learn to discern who is right for you in the moment and who is not; allow others to do the same to you, for even rejection can be a healthy part of life if done respectfully. Learn to believe that you will not be the perfect fit for someone else needs nor will someone else necessarily be the right fit for you...allow yourself to hear yourself and then others and connect with those who value the treasures of the heart as you decide what those are.

I am soooo excited to hear what 2012 has in store for you should you want to see your life from this perspective. Take back your power, which is rightfully yours as a unique, individual person who is NOT a cookie cutter version as dictated by the masses! Susan Quinn
