Unfortunately I cannot seek assistance for food, I make too much monthly even though I don't really work. (I am a member of a Native American tribe and get a set amount of money each month.)

Bus transport is not on the list of things I want to do for a few reasons. One reason is I prefer not to when I can avoid it, I dislike public transportation. I also don't want to make multiple trips like I would have to for what food is coming into the house. I am not physically fit enough to carry half of what is bought either (I like trying to get everything in as few trips as possible). I don't have any friends who drive other than my roommate.

We have financial arrangements made from when we first moved in together and they are already evenly split it is just a matter of scheduling on my roommates part as they work and I don't. I don't borrow the car because, although I can drive, I don't like driving in winter and I prefer not to drive at night which is when my roommate would need to be picked up from work.

I am sure I will work things out with them sometime it is just a matter of patience.

*Also, recently, we did get some of our essentials taken care of it was my choice to 'hold off' this time. Just wanted to wait for my finances to settle.
