My hormone doctor recommended a few books about diet and energy/mood change, the most influential of which was
Tired of Being Tired by Jesse Lynn Hanley and Nancy Deville.
It's primarily focused on reversing adrenal burnout, or the fatigue, moodiness, weight gain, and other things that result from excess stress over a period of time.
Anyway, I've been progressively cutting processed foods and such out of my diet, and doing other things it recommends, and I feel much healthier and more energized.
There are also supplements, mostly vitamins and stuff, that it recommends. Fish oil's helpful for regulating mood, too.
