I've gotten less and less luck when it comes to the new years over the past couple of years. (including various injuries and just overall bad luck)

this year has become even worse because one of my good friends got hit by a car while walking back to her own and is in the ICU at the moment. She was so excited because just hours before she had finally gotten her drivers license. She was out running to get the calculator I let her borrow and kept asking her to get it for me when she got hit, so I can't help but feel responsible, and its beyond rare that I feel guilty about something, for her accident because she was doing what I had asked her to do for a while.

I know that it's not my fault and it's the drivers fault, but I still can't get rid of the idea that I was the cause of it. Is there any good way to help lessen that feeling?
