Just an idea and I don't know if it will help or not, but can you control what you obsess about at all? If you can, you might be able to turn your challenges into strengths. I've heard it said that nobody gets through things like graduate school without having at least a touch of OCD or OCPD. Sometimes it's necessary to obsess and focus on details. I can relate to a lot of that - perfectionism, inflexibility, etc. Perfectionism can be crippling too, and can keep you from being able to get anything done, or even start, because it is impossible for you or anyone to do it up to the standard you have set, so you think why even try.
