I'm sorry you are experiencing this ickydog. It's really hard when you see them come back. I'm umnmedicated and my hallucinations have about peaked right now but it's alright, I'm not afraid.

I was on meds for a long time. Meds for the hallucinations, depression, anxiety sleep etc... They really did help the hallucinations at first but they made my dissociation worse.

Anyways, so I was on meds for the hallucinations and they had cleared up for a while. Then I started seeing people leaping in front of my car while I was driving, I was still medicated.

My meds needed to be adjusted and with the adjustment it helped take away the hallucinations again. But shortly after the medication change, I just stopped taking them. The dissociation was interfering with my regular routines so I had to make the choice hallucinations or dissociation and at that point, the dissociation was too much to handle so I chose the hallucinations.

It's pretty scary at times, but I'm lucky to not have demanding voices like that. have internal occassional voices but that's a whole different topic.

Basically though, it is not uncommon for your hallucinations to come back a year after taking meds, your body is likely becoming used to the meds and an increase in dose or trying you on other meds will likely be what would happen if you spoke to a t about this. Meds like those don't always work forever, unfortunately we gotta switch them up every now and again and try a million that make us worse before we find the one that makes us better.

Best of luck to you, take care and hang in there, it will get better, just have to wait out the storm.
