Well, given the hereditary nature of our BP'ness I wouldn't be surprised if there is a strong likelihood if one or both end up w/ it! I wouldn't be brokenhearted, just extra empathetic and supportive! If there are warning signs as children I would keep a close lookout for them. Maybe even, raise their awareness and educate them as soon as possible. I remember feeling all alone, and actually just thought I simply "felt/experienced more emotions" more than others.

I often think about my upbringing, alcoholic father, depressed grandfather who committed suicide at 50. There's a huge environmental relationship to my organic illness, but hereditary is questionable. However, one thing for sure, they don't teach children how to become emotionally intelligent in school. I think that is our job, and I have no idea how to do it.

One blessing in disguise is that there is evidence that suggests that BP and genius are closely related. Meaning the possibility to be genius by BP people is increased... Or so I hear from my doc...
