I think you're reacting to mcl's thread about learned helplessness. I'm sure she wasn't making any comments about our needs to be heard and to be validated. And if, indeed, there are people who think we're too attention seeking - well, my message to them is 'bug off'. We come to these forums to share.
I have seen you often offering support to others. You are a cheerleader and you will join in in 'pocketriding'. We have a real community here that for the most part support and encourage each other. There will always be some commentary that maybe will push our buttons or trigger us. That's the risk of a public forum like this. But, Granite, please please remember how excited people were a few days ago when you were able to talk to your T. That was a genuine and honest reaction by those of us here on this forum. We follow your journey because you are so honest and so brave and you represent to us the kind of courage that we all hope to gain ourselves someday.
So, I'm with Anne. let all of us "Attention Seeking *****s Unite" and embrace this fact that we must and we need to share and to support each other. There is a lot of love going your direction Granite, just like you send a lot of love our way.
