Hmm. Not heard about this before now...and when I first read your original post I was admittedly skeptical. However, reading the replies and seeing just how many others with asthma have bipolar disorder did surprise me. I don't believe there is a high level of scientific evidence supporting this and it may just be more a coincidental correlation between the two than a direct link.

Now, I do actually have both a minor form of asthma and a severe form of bipolar, but whether or not the two are related at all I cannot say. However the causing environmental and/or social factors which can possibly cause asthma may also be possible causes and/or triggers for bipolar. Hence the correlation between the two.
