I think kids can have symptoms that, in an adult, might be schizophrenia, but in children they are often "passing phases", things they grow out of. For example, you'd be surprised how many children have seen Santa Claus... doesn't mean that they're schizophrenic, or psychotic... it's a hallucination that's within normal perameters for certain age groups. Lots of kids have imaginary friends... again, that's normal. But if I, as a forty year old, started talking to an invisible friend it would be cause for concern.

I think your hallucinations as a child could have been part of a developmental thing that you've since grown out of. If you have other schizophrenic style symptoms, you would be better of talking to a doctor. Good luck!
