basically, suspension is the springs and other pieces used to make the wheels go up and down and smooth out bumps in the road. the elantra has a suspension tuned for comfort. that is, the suspension will absorb bumps so that the passengers don't feel them much. cars built for speed have stiffer suspensions so that the car does not lean as much in turns and handle curves better. for normal driving, the suspension in the hyundai is fine.
