The bandaid's still there, isn't it? I find that the bandaids fall off pretty easily, sometimes you have to care for them yourself until the next week when they can help you again. Can you hold onto what went into putting the bandage on instead of seeing it as ripped off?

And if you continue with your bandage analogy, maybe it's that they are teaching you, by demonstrating, how to put on your own bandage and care for yourself, until one day you won't need them anymore. Or you won't need the bandages anymore.
