Thinking of you!

You might like to try some or all of these:
1. no coffee, alcohol, exercise, stimulating activity just before bed
2. get up at the same time every morning (this resets your body clock)
3. only go to bed when you are feeling sleepy (you will have waves of sleepiness and wakefulness, so if you don't feel tired just wait for the next wave in 60mins or so).
4. set aside a time to worry/think about things and when you catch yourself thinking about these things in bed, write them down and redirect your thoughts, or get up and do something boring for a while)
5. practice some simple relaxation techniques (you might be able to find some fee ones online, or even as phone apps).

Sometimes it helps to do a sleep diary also to identify what it is that helps you to sleep. I think there's one on the National Prescribing Service website (that's an Australian government website) then search for 'sleep diary'.

Also, regarding pain. if it's chronic physical pain you're experiencing, there's a great youtube clip 'understanding pain in less than 5 minutes' that I'd highly recommend!!!

Good luck.
