Look at you, all confrontational and all

I am just really pleased that you were able to raise this with him, despite-- if I remember correctly-- that you promised you would not because it was too hard. Doing these kinds of things despite the fact that they are hard is such good progress. We are all noticing that.

And I am really happy that he gave you a kind of response that showed he cared about giving you what you need, and that he acknowledged that what you felt was accurate.

It's rarely the case, in my experience, that people intuit what I need and give it to me. But when I can actually say what I need and then I get it, that's awfully wonderful. Or even when they try but don't succeed, that's still wonderful.
