Hi --- I don't believe that the therapist CAN tell your mother (unless it's life-threateniing). I believe that it's PRIVATE between patient & doctor. Your Mom will undoubtedly ASK you what you talked about, but you don't have to tell her everything. In fact you don't have to tell her anything! Just give her a "generic" answer, like "Oh, we talked about school and stuff." LOL
Just don't be afraid to be TOTALLY open and honest with the therapist cause that's the ONLY way she can help you. And PLEASE tell her about the cutting episodes.
