Let's not forget birthmoms on Mother's Day. Nobody ever remembers us either. Because I did not want for my child the circumstances he would have been raised in had I kept him, I placed him for adoption as an infant nearly 18 years ago. Two years ago, his adoptive mom tracked me down and we are all now building a relationship, but let me tell you, the pain is staggering and never really goes away.
