Shortandcute... there is no easy way to cope with financial problems. You really don't go into specifics but it is possible to survive and get your needs met but not always your wants...*unsatisfied32's* post refers to community help.Sometimes we get accustomed to a certain "lifestyle" when it comes to being financially secure. Then a "crisis" happens and it literally rearranges our world.
You should talk to a therapist about your feelings as well as the suicidal thoughts. Suicide is a permanent solution to a "temporary" problem ! Faith is good but have trust in yourself that you can use your talents and creativity to supplant your economic needs. For example in cooking you can eliminate a lot of convenience foods and of course "fast food" is expensive.
If your major worry is losing your roof over your head, talking to your lender and refinancing may help. Rentals by private owners may be a bit more difficult and I would suggest maybe the possibility of living with a respected family member if it is at all possible.
Without specifics it is hard to steer you in the direction which may best fit your needs.
But seeing a therapist is a MUST or your psychiatrist if you have one ! You need your mental stability to get through these tough economic times!
Best wishes !
