I had a wonderful appointment with a dietician today. This was my first consultation, and we went over all of my medications, health issues, eating habits and supplements I take.

Next, she showed me all of the portions of each food group I should have and how small each portion is. Soups, which I love to make, are excellent idea. I was afraid of red meat, and she told me of the portions I can have. With that, I may be able to come off the multivitamins and the B12 supplements, but to stay on the calcium/D3 supplements. I can drop the niacin. I am also allowed to eat shrimp about three times a month, Yay!!

So my next appointment is one month away. In the mean time I will ahve to journal everything I eat and what time. She is more concerned with me not eating properly on schedule. Sometimes I do cook supper, sometimes I don't etc. So the scheduling is very important.

I will also have to put a check mark on the calendar for each day i exercise. Then I am to bring all of this information back to her as well as blood tests for levels of certain things. I am so happy to finally have some guidance!!
