1. If you're getting a login screen when you click on the Chat option, that means the program has lost your "cookie." Cookies are how the forums track that you are logged in and you are who you say you are. It could be a security or privacy setting in your browser that needs addressing, as you should not see a login screen for chat.

2. If you have problems with other kinds of chats or other Java-based applications on the Internet, your Java is not installed properly or your browser has changed its security or privacy settings preventing Java from running correctly. While there is nothing we can do on our end to fix this problem, it is something you can likely correct on your end. You might try typing in "msie java security settings" into a search engine like Google and look for information on helping you re-enable Java properly.

3. A more recent version of the server software is available and I will try and update our chat server sometime next week and will let you know when it's done. It is highly unlikely that this will fix any of the client-side Java problems, however, but you never know!!
