I have many friends, but none who have the training and skill to hear with the third ear, the ear that hears what I'm saying and what I'm not saying. Nor does a friend have the level of interest or commitment needed.

Sure, friends can also be confidant's, but it takes more than just talking 'to' someone. If it only took talking 'to' someone, I could talk to the wall.
