Hi Squirrel,
I have "depression with psychotic features" and I get quite embarrassed about that: although my family does know the diagnosis, I don't let them know the full extent of it. I have found antipsychotics don't help with my 'delusions', though they make the voices go away. I'm wondering if that is what your dad means by "think things that are not normal are normal"? If so I would talk to pdoc as you could need the dose upped or the antipsychotic changed.
Not caring about cleanliness or everyday activities could be a sign of the depression worsening, or it could just be that your dad has a different standard of tidiness that you do. Only you can say if he was justified in that comment. If he is, then again talk to pdoc. Do you have a T? I find therapy helpful too.
It's hard when family doesn't understand what you are going through

I hope you have people around you who do understand.
Best wishes,
