my T works business hours and then there is an after hours team who i am to contact if i need support at night or over the weekend.
i find the after hours team to be hopeless, examples being:
>no one answering even when i try 10+ times
>them saying they will call you back within an hour but then they call back 6+hours later or not at all
>them saying 'just distract' even when i tell them i have tried distraction and it's not working
>me saying i'm feeling like SHing and i just need some support in not doing it and them saying go to ED right now or we will call ambulance/police on you.
>me saying i'm feeling really suicidal and them just saying out right 'you'll be fine, go to ED if you do anything'
so i have found that they really don't help so when T says to call them if i need to i know i won't because if i get an unhelpful response it makes me worse.
so what i wanted to know is if any of you have any tips on how to get the after hours to be more helpful or any other alternatives?
