I'm on it. I've been on it for about a month. I started at 7.5mg. It helped me sleep - but gave me weird dreams - however, the side effects weren't enough to discourage me. My doc increased it 7.5mg every week and now I'm at 30mg. No more weird dreams and it's working very well. Becareful not to dismiss a med just because you have side effects when you start it. More times than not the side effects will dissipate. I hear a lot from people who've tried many antidepressants and say that none of them helped - but when they go into greater detail most of the time they'd only been on each antidepressant for a week or so before scrapping it and moving on to another. You gotta give it time. Give your body time to adjust.
Just my 2 cents. But Remeron is an effective and unique antidepressant in that it enhances the effects of serotonin and norepinephrine. It works really well in conjunction with an SSRI like Lexapro. Actually - it has reversed the sexual dysfunction caused by the Lexapro!!
Good luck!
Jerry :-)
