When you isolate, you are probably not doing anything that can cause something bad to happen. Like, say I stay in bed all day and maybe get up to eat once. The worst that could happen is your bed breaking, you burning your house down, your fridge breaking, the water pipes leaking....

But when you go out to interact with people there is a higher chance for something to go wrong. You can't really control all the variables going on around you.

Something that you can do to prove to yourself that winning and losing is more random than based on interactions with others:

Try keeping an account for everyday you play. How much you won at the end of the night (or loss) and whether or not you interacted with someone. Try recording it for a month or two and see if there is a direct correlation. (And remember correlation does not mean causation.)
