It was the first mood stabiliser to work for me, and I can't see me coming off it, unless ordered to by the doctor. They didn't put me on lithium since my mother had such a bad reaction to it. I was on tegretol, carbomazapine and mirtazipine before they tried this and it worked.

At first I went a little hyper, then I levelled out. I've not had the huge black moods since, though I'm still a little prone to depression. I haven't been manic since I've been on it. Rather than making me feel drugged up, it helps me feel "normal." I really like it, it's worked very well for me. Hope it works well for you too.
