The only AAP i've taken is Seroquel which wasn't a good experience for me. The sleep was good the first two nights but was exceptionally out of it half of the day then seemed to get extremely angry and my manic symptoms flared up more. Strange I know, seeing as it's meant to help.
The other choice was Olanzapine, which I know has a lovely high weight gain side effect (not really keen on that) She said the Saphris is meant to have a lower side effect profile but work similarly to Olanzapine.
I'm meant to have 10mg twice a day but after what i've been reading that sounds a bit high! I'd probably sleep all day long having it in the morning. She thinks it should calm down my agitation and restlessness plus help the insomnia. And hopefully not make me depressed. Kind of been a bit mixed lately.
If this doesn't work then I can try the Olanzapine or Vaproic Acid which i'm not keen on at all from the side effects i've seen. I'm sensitive to meds as it is, all of the anti d's (which makes sense with my new Bipolar diagnosis) made me more agitated and 'up' plus some other nasty side effects along with them.
Anyhow, super long post going on and on. Anyone else tried it? Still on it?

I got some of it, only 5mg once before bed, but it gives me really bad restless leg syndrome so I stopped until I see the doc tomorrow. Good luck!
