Hi EJ,
I'm so sorry you had that emergency in the middle of the night before Mother's Day! Eek! I hope your husband is doing okay now. And I hope the rest of Mother's Day went okay for you.
I live in a larger community now, but for a couple of summers I worked on a ranch. It was in a "town" of 340 people. The "town" consisted of a general store, which had a few dusty cans! The general store also had a bar in back, and a non-working gas station in front. There were no other buildings in town, that was it. Frankly, we could never even figure out how they got 340 people on the town sign, but that's a different issue. Actually, the ranch was gorgeous and it was a beautiful area. We could look everywhere in all directions and see no neighbors, so it was pretty isolated....very quiet, just us, and the horses, cows, pigs, chickens, wheat, and rye! It had its plusses, but so does the life I enjoy now! It's very handy not to have to drive 50 miles (or whatever it was) to go to the grocery store. :-)
Hope you and your husband are doing okay now, and he is feeling better.
Take care,
ErinBear
